Founder and President, Joan Barnes had simply given up on the various millwork and cabinet shops she had worked with for the previous 16 years in an attempt to produce high quality architectural millwork for her marketing and interior design firm, Marketing Specifics, Inc.

Barnes became increasingly frustrated by the inconsistent quality of various shops, as well as being repeatedly disappointed by missed deadlines and commitments that seemly had no consequences to anyone else except to her and her firm. She knew something had to change.

After much soul searching and meticulous planning, Woodworking Specifics was born to serve both her and her interior designers’ very-exacting quality expectations and on time delivery commitments but also as a resource for other architects and designers who no doubt were facing the same issues.

It is attention to detail, the love of custom craftsmanship and the high standards of business ethics and best practices that Woodworking Specifics was founded on and continues to practice everyday.

Woodworking Specifics’ millwork can be found throughout the country in numerous commercial, retail and residential settings. The firm fabricates and installs for architects, interior designers and exacting
homeowners.
